I just might survive the cluster-fuck that has become my life.
Friends who call me and invite me to dinner on the day when I really need it. Friends who give me beautiful flowers to help brighten what was a really difficult week:
Friends who insist that misery does in fact love company and then prove it by splitting a bottle of wine with me. Friends who help me tackle plumbing work and laugh with me when we crack a pipe (oops!). Friends who teach me how to knit in the round and don’t laugh at how slow I knit. Friends who stop by with chocolate chip cookies and the kindest gift:
Friends who show up a day early for my Thanksgiving Brunch and we eat the frittata anyway, because hell, you’re already here and it’s hot so let’s eat it! Friends who say, “call me anytime you need to!” and mean it, even when I call late at night when I’m slightly tipsy and perhaps not making much sense or being completely rational. Friends who email me just to say they were thinking about me. Friends who show their love and support through their every day actions.
Yes, with friends like these, I just may make it through. Love you all.
